Over the past 2+ years, I’ve had the immense pleasure of working on five productions with ArtsPower National Touring Theatre and ArtsPower Theatre On Demand.
ArtsPower Theatre On Demand
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ArtsPower shifted its focus from touring its productions to producing virtual content for kids and families to enjoy around the whole country. ArtsPower Theatre On Demand was established to offer performances online. In addition to these online performances, a full complement of grade-specific lesson plans for educators and interactive learning activities for students was created around each production.
I’ve enjoyed working as the production stage manager and production coordinator on four filmed projects to be streamed online through this Theatre On Demand program. I was also promoted to the role of Shoot Director for the most recent production, The Monster Who Ate My Peas.
Four Score and Seven Years Ago - National Tour
During the Spring of 2020, I completed my first national tour with ArtsPower’s production of Four Score and Seven Years Ago.
About: To young Lemuel, who has escaped slavery in Georgia, life in Gettysburg is everything he had dreamed it would be. His ideas about the North and the South, as well as what it means to be a free man, are challenged, however, when he unexpectedly befriends Jacob, a young Confederate soldier. The two men may be of different races and on different sides of the Civil War, but they have much to teach each other about bravery and loyalty in ArtsPower’s exciting and suspenseful musical.
